Abstract
Osteomyelitis is a serious infection-related inflammatory disease of the bone which, if left untreated, may result in the need for limb amputations (1). Nuclear medicine techniques, such as bone scans and tagged leukocyte scintigraphy, are valuable in the clinical diagnosis of this disease. The Pacific SouthWest Technologist Chapter, PSWTC, is incorporated and operated solely by volunteer technologists.
The chapter is vast in size, including the geographical areas of Southern California, specifically from Bakersfield south, all of Arizona, Las Vegas and areas south in Nevada. Our chapter is made up of over 1300 members.
The PSWTC is made up of an amazing group of volunteers looking out for the interest of technologists. It is an honor to be President of this Chapter. We give you the opportunity to make a difference in your profession, build strong relationships with your peers and enhance the success of your career path. We provide continuing education opportunities as well as advocate for our profession. I have had the pleasure of volunteering with this wonderful group of people since attending the leadership academy in 2012.

Our website originated in 1995, and within a few months, had a large number of participants due to the “Nucgang Mailman”.
